The Tanzania Initiative is a World Community Service project of the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918), enabled and financed through the Rotary Club of Windsor Foundation Fund.

There are 3 primary missions of The Tanzania Initiative:

1) To empower vulnerable children in Tanzania through education sponsorship.

Our education sponsorship program is focused on finding long-term education sponsors for Tanzanian children who otherwise would not be able to go to school. It is a child-based program whereby everything we do relates to getting a child into school, keeping that child in school, and providing that student with the resources needed to succeed in school. 3) To assist in the strengthening of communities by working with them to achieve their goals.

Our partner organization in Tanzania is the Saidia Agriculture and Social Care Organization (SASCO) an NGO founded and managed by Tanzanians for Tanzanians. SASCO was granted NGO status from the United Republic of Tanzania in September 2011.
