The Rotary organization HIP (Honouring Indigenous Peoples) has a major initiative called Youth2Youth, an innovative initiative that raises cultural awareness, promoting mutual understanding among youth across Canada on the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action and treaty relations plus igniting the need to create sustainable environmental transformation.
They are inviting students in grades 9-11 who are interested to apply by Jan 31. We are allowed 2 from Essex County. Deb Harshaw and Rajen Chetty are assisting me in the effort to identify 1 indigenous and 1 non-indigenous youth to participate. If you're interested in learning more please see one of us.
