The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) is once again proud to offer our members, and their friends or business acquaintances, the opportunity to nominate and send young high school students to the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) - at no cost to the student if selected.
RYLA is an exciting leadership development program coordinated by Rotary districts
where students in grades 9–12 can build confidence, develop key leadership skills,
connect with like-minded peers, and learn how to make a positive difference in their
communities and beyond.
What you should know:
Students who are accepted into the program can attend at no cost —registration and transportation are covered by the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918).
Space is limited to 10 students, so interested applicants are encouraged to apply early.
RYLA focuses on leadership skills, ethical decision-making, teamwork, community service, and personal growth.
Deadline to apply is Sunday, March 22, 2026. Those who are not selected will be placed on a waitlist.
For questions, please contact Kevin Larkin, RYLA co-chair:

Proceeds from Art in the Park continue to be reinvested directly into our community through these grants — proof that when our community shows up, it makes a difference.
We encourage our members to be Rotary champions to support eligible organizations!
Applications open February 23, 2026 and close March 27, 2026
Eligible organizations may apply for up to $5,000
Successful applicants will be notified by April 30, 2026

Area 1 Rotary Inter-Club Social
On behalf of the Area 1 Presidents, Rotarians and guests are warmly invited to attend an upcoming Inter-Club Social hosted by:
Jackie Dale, President, Rotary Club of Grosse Pointe
Mark Heppner, President, Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary Club
Carolann Markolyas & Joanne Lamar, Co-Presidents, Detroit AM Rotary Club
Steven Durant, President, Rotary Club of Detroit
This evening is designed with one purpose in mind: fellowship. There will be no formal program or lengthy agenda—just an opportunity for Rotarians to connect, build relationships, and enjoy one another’s company across clubs.
As part of the evening, attendees are encouraged to bring a children’s book to donate. This simple gesture adds a meaningful service element, allowing us to make a positive impact while gathering together.
A live keyboardist will provide music to enhance the atmosphere, and food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Members are also encouraged to invite prospective Rotarians. Experiencing the energy, connection, and shared purpose of Rotary firsthand is one of the most powerful ways to introduce others to our organization.
When our clubs come together, our collective impact grows.
We hope to see you there on March 24 and encourage you to share this invitation with fellow members.
