President Colleen's Year-End Review - how time flies!

June 18th was President Colleen's Swan Song. She took the Club through a snapshot of what our Club looks like today, including 13 new member inductions, and touched upon the many projects and achievements we've had since last July, including Centennial celebrations and those that reflect our Service Above Self. Our Club won 6 awards, including the ERCA Environment Award, the Hugh Archer Award, the Boldly Go Award, the Service Projects Award, The Passport to Service Award and the COG Award. Major Paul Rideout presented the Club with a 7th - the Salvation Army Battered Bugle Award - that day.

Arturo Vargas Carrillo, a youth exchange student back in 1985 from Tehuacán, Puebla - Mexico, spoke about how his experience with youth exchange changed his life. He became emotional as he fondly recalled memories from his time spent here, and he presented the Club with a beautiful plate of "Arte Popotillo" (straw art), traditional technique of Puebla.
