We were honoured with the conservation award at the Essex Region Conservation Foundation's Annual General Meeting, accepted by Janet Kelly on behalf of the Club. ERCA's statement:

"In addition to supporting many environmental projects over the years, the Club served as the lead donor to the Place for Life campaign, with a remarkable contribution to create the Rotary (1918) Centennial Hub. This critically important section of trail bring our community’s long-time vision of a region connected by trails to reality, and serves as a legacy of the Club’s 100th year of service."

Susan Stockwell Andrews, volunteer president of the Essex Region Conservation Foundation and co-chair of the Place for Life campaign, stated: “What a true gift to the community that will allow us all to connect with nature and each other for generations to come [...] Rotarians truly live their motto of service above self.”
