Welcome to the Youth and Young Adults Services Committee Page. The information
below describes the mandate and activities of this committee.
Youth and Young Adults Services Committee Mandate
The Committee shall acquaint itself, by means of surveys and other methods,
with the needs of the youth in the community. It shall consider and
recommend such action as it believes may promote the development of youth
into good citizens and carry out such youth services as the club may
authorize. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the committee
shall have responsibility for:
assistance, financial or otherwise, to be
given to youths on probation;
shall report to the board upon applications
for assistance made to the club by deserving students;
shall attend to the
making of such loans as are approved by the board and the collection of the
same as provided or required by the rules and regulations for the student
loan fund.
Youth Services Committee Activities
The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918), through the Youth Services Committee, continues to make annual donations to the Endowment Fund at St. Clair College which provides scholarships for deserving Varsity athletes at the College.
The Youth Services Committee oversees the activities of the Interact and Rotaract Groups.
Windsor Rotary (1918) was pleased to announce the hosting of the launch of a local Rotaract Club.
Rotaract president, Oscar Vicente, spoke to our club as his group was in the process of recruiting members. The
club is based on the University of Windsor campus.
