Since the software called TCP/IP was public-domain, and the basic technology was decentralized and rather anarchic by its very nature, it was difficult to stop people from barging in and linking up somewhere-or-other. In point of fact, nobody *wanted* to stop them from joining this branching complex of networks, which came to be known as the "Internet."

An alternative view of our digital future:
We are in the process of building one vast global computer, which could easily become The Legacy System from Hell that holds civilization hostage; the system doesn't really work; it can't be fixed; no one understands it; no one is in charge of it; it can't be lived without; and it gets worse every year.

The Software we use to Manage our Website and Computer

It has been our choice to write our programs in native HTML using Tables and ignoring Frames without the aid of code writing programs. We feel that this gives us more flexibility in our approach and leads to a better, more understandable code for those who may follow us. At the moment, it has been our decision to remain with the Windows XP operating system - mainly because it is the choice of the majority of our users.
Our other programs of choice are shareware or freeware products.
