On February 4th, 2002, Rotarian Walter Willms temporarily assumed the Office General Manager position. Former manager,Cindy DeCarlo, moved on to a new position with St. Clair College. Walter was asked to review office makeup and procedures during his stay on the job. His term expired on July 30, 2003. Walter continues in a liaison role between the Office and the Board. He serves as Sargent at Arms for the Board.
As of February, 2004, Brenda Cohen became the sole full time office employee (Office Administrator) reporting directly to the Board through Walter.


JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Interim General Manager Walter Willms ROTARY OFFICE CONTACT

Reports to: Board of Directors
Plans, organizes, directs controls the day-to-day activities of the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) by administering policies established by the Board of Directors, by directing the administrative aspects of the Club's operations, as well as community programs projects;
Advises the Board of Directors and its various committees on policy matters, recommends changes to policies, establishes procedures to implement policies of the Board;
Keeps the Board, the President, Officers, Directors Committee Chairpersons fully informed on the condition and operation of the club of all matters impinging on or influencing them;
Reviews the effectiveness of assigned operations;
Enforces policies established by the Board of Directors, prepares various reports;
Advises the Board concerning trends/developments in own operations those of the staff members;
Maintains a positive relationship with other organizations, the press, others they relate to the best interests of the club;
Administration of office including supervision of staff, recruitment, training;
Oversee Rotary calendar of events all fund raising developments;
Develop new Rotary initiatives;
Oversee generation of financial statements.




CLUB Bookkeeper/ACCOUNTANT (temporary position)

on financial matters, supervising the performance of book keeping banking operations, the preparation of International District reports, the preparation of Club Foundation financial records, the conduct of Board of Director's meetings, the staff financial liaise to all club committees.





OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Reports to: The Rotary President
Assists the President by performing a wide variety of office administrative duties related to the coordinating of club endeavors. the publication of the weekly newsletter, The Wheel, the managing of weekly meeting agenda, the staffing of various Club Committees, filing;
Provides a draft copy of the next wheel other handouts to the webmaster by Thursday noon each week;
Assists with basic accounting responsibilities, works on new projects;
Assists the Club by performing a wide variety of office administrative duties relating to the maintenance of Club records.
Responsible for all office activities, reception, and any other tasks needed.



PROJECT COORDINATOR
temporary position
Reports to: the Board
Assists the General Manager by ensuring the timely provision of adequate resources (funds, volunteers, services, supplies, equipment, space etc.) in order to facilitate/maximize the results of each fund raising campaign, to provide continuity of fund raising events from year to year, from program to program;
Briefs chairpersons volunteers during the course of the campaign, develops recommends written verbal appeals to solicit funds, cultivates donors creates general recognition of the Club's fund raising activities, maintains complete accurate information concerning the Club fund raising events, liaises with other service clubs, agencies government organizations to promote Club activities, develops promotional media campaigns for events other Club initiatives.
