now fall under the Fundraising Committee.
A Pre-authorized Remittance Plan PAR Application Form is available to those who may wish to participate in a regular giving program toward the objectives of "our" and/or "my" Foundation Funds.
Fund Raising Committee Activities
Money Matters
Money Matters - "Where does the money come from?" you ask. Of course the answer is through fundraising events. The largest fundraiser is Art-in-the-Park, held each June, with success dependant upon the whims of Mother Nature. Next are Bingos, 17 6-hour
sessions held each year with success dependant upon the volunteers who work a shift or two. We also have membership dues, jackpot draws and Children's Fest. The proceeds from these sources may be earmarked and designated for particular projects. The proceeds from the Children's Fest are divided between The Children's Safety Village and The Children's Rehab Centre. Proceeds from members' dues, once International dues are paid, goes towards the operation of the club. Bingo funds may only be used for local community projects and are allocated by the Funding committee chaired by the President-Elect.
Art-in-the-Park funds all the committee work carried out by the club.
It's not rocket science to see that the more we make, the bigger the pie that we get to serve. That's why we all have to pledge our time and energies to make every fundraiser a success.
