To Mr. John McGivney:  Dear John:  Although I was personally not in attendance for the special Memorial Tribute given to me I can assure you that I was there in great spirits.

"I was overwhelmed by this special tribute. As you know, this tribute may never have occurred, if I didn't have the love and support, for 65 years, of my beautiful wife, Verna.  Thank you Verna.

I want to thank Rotary in general and Windsor Rotary (1918) specifically, for permitting me to be a part of you.  It has provided both Verna and me with much fun, happiness, satisfaction by helping those less fortunate and so many lasting friendships we shall forever cherish.

I have received many awards and acknowledgements throughout my life but this tribute is without question the most important, the most meaningful, the most emotional and the most special recognition that I could ever receive because I know it comes from the hearts of my friends.
