ROLE OF THE CLUB INTERNET COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

 

 

The CICO is required to have email and be able to access the Internet.  The CICO agrees to download the free Adobe Acrobat reader to facilitate effective communication.  The CICO works closely with the Club President and the District Internet Communications Officer to:

 

  1. To encourage the club and Rotarians to make effective use of email as a communication tool
  2. To encourage the effective use of the Internet as a resource for information for the club and Rotarians
  3. To specifically encourage the club and Rotarians to frequently access select Internet web sites to stay updated about Rotary:

  4. To fully support the launch of the special Rotary Program, “Opening the Eyes of Rotary” as a Club Program during the first two months of this new Rotary Year.  This program is an introduction to all the Rotary resources available on the Internet.  
    1. Note:  The Technology Task Force will offer this model program on their web site for easy download
  5. Develop a three minute special program at least once each month during this Rotary year entitled, “What’s new on the Net” to be presented at a regular club meeting to club members.  Note:  Suggested models will be provided from the Technology Task Force on the Technology Web Site for easy download.
  6. To “connect” their club via the Internet and email to other clubs and districts seeking/sharing service project ideas, fund raising ideas, program ideas, and “best practices”.
  7. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Club President or suggested by the District Internet Communication Officer.
