  • Megan Meloche discussed her progress on the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) Centennial Exhibit that will be displayed from July-December 2018 at the Chimczuk Museum. The working title of the exhibit is "Service Above Self", highlighting the 100-year history of our club. It will be compromised of panels, archival and interactive exhibits. Megan has been painstakingly ironing the 600 club banners that have been collected over the years and will display them at the main entrance of the exhibit. She is still in need of more photos and announced a call for images, requesting that each Rotarian select 10-15 photos that tell the Rotary Story according to the themes of the exhibit.  Rotarian Major Thomas Hayhurst will be given tribute in the exhibit. Major Hayhurst was a marksman who volunteered for the Dieppe Raid. He silenced the enemy from an exposed position before being killed. This will be an amazing exhibition. Well done Megan!

  • Maureen Lucas and Romeo Girardi provided Rotary Centennial financial updates and proudly announced the Gold Star Sponsorship of Russell A Farrow LTD and our own Carl Cohen who humbly reminded all club members to participate in the Centennial fundraising as much as they possibly can.

  • Ron Arkell and his team recently returned from Ghana. Enough funds were raised to complete all the projects that were identified. A new greenhouse was erected with the help of Mike Clement from Parks Windsor and Ken Schmidt, former head of ERCA, along with a generous donation by Rick Farrow for a well and drip line to service the greenhouse.
